GlobalThe movie highlights global rainfall patterns. Data gathered from many sources illustrate the seasonal evolution of the monsoon system. Precipitaion data is model generated. In the future observations for precipitation will be included. The data here represent a 5 year average. Look at the color bar beneath the map. Yellow indicates the lightest rainfall, red the heaviest. Notice that the rainfall patterns change with each season. Although there are monsoon rainfall patterns in other parts of the world, we will concentrate on the Asian monsoon. Click "more information" for a detailed description of the movie. |
