You have a GDOC account.
GDOC is Gallaudet's Dynamic Online Collaboration program.  In the SOAR-High course you will use two GDOC areas: Student Portfolios, and Class Discussion. 

GDOC requires a password.  GDOC allows us to keep certain areas private for the SOAR-High community only.   You will have the same password for all SOAR-High work (Portfolios, Class Discussion, and FTP) When your teacher sends your name and password to Gallaudet, then we set up a GDOC account for you.  Ask your teacher for your user name and password.

  Enter Class Discussion 
       Here's how...

1. Right click on Class Discussion (on the side bar), and open a new window from that link.    (To open a new window  put your mouse over the link, click the right button, and select     "New Window with this link".  A new window will pop up.  )

2. Move the new window and this window so that you can read both.
3. Enter your user name, which is your first and last name.
4. Enter your password.
 

Important!  GDOC is case sensitive, which means it follows exactly the upper and lower case letters.
Suppose you type in a password like this:   BirdDog    you must always type it exactly the same way.  So this one will not work:   birddog  because it does not have the same capital letters.

Do not forget your password!

5. Click on Team by Thread.   Your team window will open (Purple, Green, Orange, or Blue Team).   Click on the blue triangle . 
6. Click on the discussion topic you want: 
7. Read the discussion question.
8. To add your comment, click on the word  at the top of the page. Type your comment/answer in the window that opens.    (Please do not create new threads.) 
9. To read other student's comments click on the student responses.
