Act. 1.12 Create
an Online Science
Portfolio
  |
| A Portfolio of
your ESS Work |
You will create an online
portfolio of
your science work for SOAR-High. Other students will be
able
to view your projects and you can learn from each other's work.
Sometimes
your teacher may ask you to send email to another student about their
work.
There are two kinds (categories)
of science
work for this class:
Science
Projects - class
assignments
that involve information gathering, analysis, or creative writing.
Lab
Reports and Research - activities in which you test a
hypotheses
and report the results.
Your
On-line Science Portfolio should include the following:
-
A professional appearance
-
Your school name, and the name
of this class
-
Your first name (only - no last
name please)
-
A picture of yourself
-
Two work category titles:
"Science Projects"
and "Lab Reports and Research". (Later you will add
links to your projects)
-
Dates for each piece of work
-
A short introduction for
yourself (60 words
or less). You may include links to your favorite web pages
(appropriate
for a professional page)
-
Use an interesting background
color or image
-
Include a place to add
Reflections (at the end of semesters)
Here is an example
of an interesting and nicely designed page.
(This is a 'made-up' example - the
information
is not accurate)
