Introduction to the  Earth System spheres
GOAL:   In this activity you  will gather information about the spheres of the Earth System.


 
One more time!  What is the Earth System?
During the summer of 1998, a group of scientists met in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  
Someone asked "What is Earth System Science?"
Here are some of their answers. 
Which one make the most sense to you?

1.  ESS Definition:  Go HERE and review another definition of Earth System Science. 

2.   What are the Spheres?  Read this page about the Earth's spheres. Click one one or two of the Links to get an idea of what the sphere is.

3. Write the meaning of each sphere on your own sheet of paper.
4. Get the sphere worksheet Identify the spheres and their interactions.
