This side bar is your road map to the SOAR-High web site.

Use the Web Links to find information by topic and by alphabetical listing.  These links will save you time.

Calendar
The calendar shows vacations, holidays and other events for each participating school.






Units R.I and R.II
Research I and Research II are special units. Research projects involve applying the information you have learned in the Units to ask a question, develop a hypothesis, find data, and look for results. You will communication what you find out by creating a web page showing your research and results.
Tool Room
The tool room has directions for activities like writing lab reports, making web pages, etc. There are also many different kinds of calculators here








Class  Discssion
Just as in a regular classroom, students benefit from exchanging ideas.  You will be given a topic and asked to contribute to the discussion at least once in each Unit.




Pictures
Look at pictures from class activities. When you write a lab report, find pictures here to illustrate your procedure.
 


 



Rules and Guides
Find class rules and course-related guides, for example information on taking quizes, portfolio requirements, symbol meaning, etc.





Historical Timeline
The SOAR-High ESS course will start connect to events in history, starting in the 1950's in the Fall, and continuing all year into the new millennium.  The historical timeline will help you be aware of years when certain events occurred.
Deaf Scientists
Learn about deaf people with careers in science and math.  Get to know some of  the many deaf and hard of hearing people who have made and are making contributions to the fields of math and science.

For each Unit there is a guide with links to activities. Here are some important parts of the Unit Guide that you should know about:

Unit  Questions
Unit questions provide an outline of what should learn in each Unit. Answer the questions as you work through the activities.

Question sets must be done individually and are due at the end of the unit.  Include them in your notebook portfolio.

At the end of each Unit, study the questions to prepare for a quiz.
