Exploring Factors affecting Seasonal Patterns

Read over these questions and choose one that interests you and your team partner.  You may modify the question any way you like, but discuss your idea with your teacher before beginning your research.
 

What is the effect of being near a large body of water?
        Which climate is warmer, one near water or one in the middle of a land mass?
        Which climate has more precipitation, one near water or one in the middle of a land mass?

What is the effect of being near mountains?
        Does the annual temperature pattern depend on which side of the mountains you're on?
        Do mountains affect the annual rainfall pattern?
 
What is the effect of elevation?
        Which climate is warmer, one at a high elevation or one at a low elevation?
        Which climate has more precipitation, one at a high elevation or one at a low elevation?
 
What is the effect of latitude?
       Which climate is warmer, one near the equator, or one far from the equator?
        Is there a difference in annual temperatures if two areas are only 100 miles apart? 1000 miles apart?
        What happens to the annual temperature pattern at different latitude?
        Are the annual temperature patterns different for the Northern and Southern hemispheres?
