What to include in your report

Introduction:   Explain why soils are important, and why we are doing this study.  Include what our goal is for this project.  What is the meaning of the word  'characterization'.   
            
Procedure:   Describe how you characterized the soil.   Be sure to explain the seven different tests you learned how to do to characterize the soil, including the definition of bulk density, and soil moisture.  Include a picture from your work in the soil pit showing how you got samples.

Data:    Include the picture of the data display  (here).

Results:   Write a summary about the characteristics of each horizon (four of them).  Compare each layer to the other three layers.

Conclusion:  What did you learn about soils from this activity?  What new questions do you have
