Think about the climate zone temperature patterns.  In the north  the climate will be very cold in the winter, warm in the summer.  In the south you will find the opposite:  'winter' months (December, January) are warm,  'summer' months (July, Aug) are cold.  What do you think happens to the annual pattern around the equator?

Match up the graphs below with the Climate zone that probably has that pattern.  The letters across the x-axis show the months.

You have learned about 3 factors that influence  annual climate  patterns.  Elevation, latitude, and Geography.   Which has the strongest influence?  Latitude!  Latitude determines how much energy is received in an area.

However.......
Every site has a combination of factors that influences the annual pattern of it's parameters.
